Polly, Osborne McGraw-Hill (6/16/98)
UPDATE!! The Net Mom has selected Coolmath.com as the best math
site for the year 1999!!! We are the #1 listed math site in the last 2
editions of her book!
This is what
The Net Mom says about us:
"This is the greatest math site ever.
Really, it has no equal. Want to multiply your fun on the Net–as far
as arithmetic, geometry, algebra, trigonometry, or calculus goes? You
can learn about tessellations and all kinds of other really neat math
stuff here, including puzzles and math tricks. There are no limits to
what you can do at Cool Math–or are there? See for yourself! We'd
add more, but we don't want to take away the surprise."

The Internet in Action and
teaches K-12 teachers how to effectively utilize the
Internet in the classroom. (We are pretty excited about this!)
We
received an official A+ from Education World!
Here is Education World's review of Coolmath.com:
CONTENT (A+): Coolmath.com is "designed for the pure enjoyment of mathematics."
This interactive site features games, puzzles, calculators, and lesson
plans.
AESTHETICS (A+): Bright, bold colors and graphics are sure to delight kids of all ages.
ORGANIZATION (A+): Each section of the site is divided into audience: Kids, Ages 13-100,
Teachers, Parents and Science (to be introduced in fall 2000). Clicking on
the graphic links easily accesses each area within the sections.
REVIEW (A+): Whether you need to practice your math skills or just have some fun,
Coolmath.com is
the place to go. The interactive games are sure to have the younger set
engaged for hours. For example, in Number Monster, children can play against
the computer to practice the four operations of adding, subtracting,
multiplying, and dividing. The player chooses the operation and the level of
difficulty, ranging from easy to hard to killer to monster. The game
displays a problem, and the player types in the answer. Kids 13+ will find
lessons on geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and algebra, an interactive
area with puzzles and number games, and articles on "How to Succeed in
Math" and "Careers in Math." Included are a Fractal Gallery
that kids of all ages will enjoy and a Fractal of the Day. Youngsters not
only will improve their math skills but also will have fun doing it.
