Let's try one:

Stack it and line things up:

591+274

Add the ones:

591+274 work shown for adding the ones

Add the tens:

591+274 work shown for adding the tens

We regrouped on that one by putting the hundreds guy in the hundreds stripe!

Now, add the hundreds:

591+274=865

 

So, 591+274=865
